Aaron R. Calvano

Background & Education:Aaron graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas with a dual-major B.S. in Nutrition Sciences and Kinesiological Sciences with concentration in Sports Nutrition. Aaron also completed a minor in Pilates with Certification in DK Body Balancing Method by Dolly Kelepecz with practical experiences teaching Pilates in Las Vegas, NV and throughout Japan.
Aaron served as a leader in the UNLV Student Nutrition and Dietetic Association as SNDAces Chair, peer mentor, and researcher with funding awards from the National Institutes of Health and National Science Foundation. Aaron worked with Dr. Arpita Basu at UNLV as a Research Assistant and collaborated on published research topics that include metabolic syndrome, diabetes, pregnancy, and dietary berry polyphenols.
Aaron completed his dietetic internship in Las Vegas, NV with a primary focus in clinical dietetics working with preceptors at Summerlin Hospital Medical Center. His experiences included working with acute-care patient populations that included neonatal infants through the advanced aged with a wide diversity of disease states and manifestations. In addition, Aaron worked in food service and community nutrition roles that included pre-clinical nutrition counseling, low-income & disadvantaged populations, and food safety & preservation.

My Personal History:Aaron has pursued passions in fitness throughout his adult life that has led to the completion of a sprint triathlon, half-marathon, century cycling ride, and Tough Mudder events. Aaron also pursues passions and knowledge in technology, research, and outdoor activities & adventures.
Dr. Susan Ackerman

Background:Susan has prior experience in diverse settings with expertise in orthopedics, geriatrics, and cardiopulmonary therapy for a wide range of patient populations. She has worked in hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living, independent living, outpatient clinics, and pilates-based multidisciplinary studios. Susan has a special interest in integrative medicine and treatment of chronic pain, orthopedics, women's health, postural deficits, and cardiopulmonary pathologies.
